About Dolomites.it
Dolomites.it is an independent English-language guide to the Italian Dolomites.
It exists to answer the decisions that broad tourism portals often leave unresolved: which town fits the trip, how the valleys differ, whether a hotel’s location works, how to combine mountain days with restaurants, and what changes between winter and summer.
What we cover
The first edition focuses on:
- Cortina d’Ampezzo;
- Alta Badia, including Corvara, San Cassiano and La Villa;
- Val Gardena, including Ortisei and Selva;
- Alpe di Siusi;
- Canazei and the Val di Fassa gateway;
- hotels, restaurants, transport and seasonal planning.
The scope may expand when the editorial desk can maintain the same standard.
What we are not
Dolomites.it is not affiliated with UNESCO, a municipality, a tourism board, a lift consortium or Dolomiti Superski. It does not provide mountain-safety advice or take hotel bookings.
The Dolomites World Heritage property comprises nine components recognised for exceptional landscape and geological value. That official designation does not make this an official website.
