Corvara

Where the Sella turns social.

Alpine scene in the Italian Dolomites

In winter

Corvara sits at the centre of the Alta Badia carousel, which means first lifts into serious terrain and last runs that end at an aperitivo. The village is small, Ladin and confident, with a season that runs on skiing, speck and well-cut knitwear.

In summer

In summer the passes open and Corvara becomes a base for the most beautiful driving and riding in the Alps, with high trails and hut lunches that justify every switchback.

Stay & table

Alpine houses run by families who remember your table from last year. The dining culture of this valley is famous for a reason, and it is not the view alone.

Specific houses, tables and openings are covered in the Journal, with facts checked and dated.
